10 days have passed since the film was released. It has been informed in the report of Sacknilk that on October 28, the worldwide gross collection of the film crossed 500 crores. Its total earnings have reached Rs 500.5 crore.
Film critic Ramesh Bala tweeted and informed that ‘Leo’ has earned up to Rs 12 lakh in Russia. These are the opening weekend figures. The film has earned more than Rs 29 crore in UAE.
There was controversy regarding ‘Leo’
There was a lot of controversy before the release of the film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, due to which the Madras High Court ordered a ban on the screening till October 20. People protested when Thalapathy Vijay used some abusive words in the film. Also, Vijay was shown smoking a cigarette in the song Na Ready, which some viewers claimed was glorifying smoking.
Before the release, the production house had filed a petition in the Madras High Court. It was said that the film would be screened at 4 a.m. on the day of its release.
